Esplanade by the Islands has a Naples mailing address (Collier County, 34114) — but it sits about as far south in Naples as you can get. You're closer to Marco Island than to downtown Naples. One quirk of Naples geography: downtown Naples and 5th Avenue South are actually northwest and west of Esplanade — not just “north.” That's because US-41 (Tamiami Trail) runs east-to-west through south Collier, then bends north along the Gulf coast near downtown. So when locals say “take 41 north to Naples,” the road first goes west, then north. Worth knowing before you set the GPS. You get the resort lifestyle of Marco's beaches and boating without paying island prices or dealing with island traffic.

You're not in the middle of any of these — you're in the geographic sweet spot between all three.
Closest cluster is along US-41 north of Esplanade (Tamiami Trail E) — typically a 5–10 minute drive. The biggest single concentration is at the Collier Blvd / US-41 intersection, anchored by Freedom Square (Publix, Marshalls, Ross, Michaels, PetSmart, Ulta, Aldi) plus the Texas Roadhouse / Chipotle / Pei Wei / Pollo Tropical / Starbucks restaurant row at the same corner.
🏗 Coming late 2026: A new 162,671 sqft Costco warehouse + 24-pump fuel station is under construction at the southeast corner of Rattlesnake Hammock Rd & Collier Blvd (Hacienda Lakes PUD) — about 10 minutes north of Esplanade. Collier County commissioners unanimously approved the project in October 2025; construction is targeted to begin spring 2026 with a ~100-day build, and ribbon-cutting is anticipated by early fall 2026.

Naples is widely considered one of Florida's better healthcare markets — driven by high per-capita demand for specialty care and strong insurance coverage in the region. The two major hospital systems both have facilities close to Esplanade.

The classic Naples beach scene. Sunset views from the pier, fishing access, soft sand. Lowdermilk has the best parking on this stretch.

For the boating crowd — Cape Romano's iconic "dome homes" and Ten Thousand Islands are reachable by boat from Marco. Not a drive-up beach, but worth knowing about.

Working artist studios along Pine Ridge Rd. Open studio events monthly. Different from gallery shopping on 5th.
The Calusa shell mound history of the area. Small but well-curated.
Upscale dine-in movie theater at Mercato. The grown-up movie option.
